Carb Spiral
Hoo boy. Its been a doozy of a week. I have been inhaling carbs in the form of baked goods like they're going out of style. My philosophy, at this point, is just that. I need renewed motivation. Anybody?
Well after your job stress I can understand the spiral, that's a tough one. I'm still struggling with it. Last night my husband said that when there is stress I look for the nearest black hole and I start walking directly toward it...then he just kept saying "Walk away from the black hole." Easier said than done - right? Here's what I know: You deserve to succeed and are worthy of success in your life. If that means today you eat half the muffin - then hurray, that is a success. Dunno if you read my last entry, but perhaps some celebration of what you deem to be a mistake is in order? You ate baked goods - how fantastic! Testing the boundaries and limits is part of the process and it's way better than sitting on your hands and doing/learning nothing. It sounds like stress = a need for action -whatever that action may be, I'm the same way. Lately the action that I choose (though it feels like it's choosing me) is sitting and crying through it until I'm ready to pull my socks up and march on. So eat your baked goods and hang in there, because you won't stay there forever, just by posting the need for help in the motivation department is a step toward different action - 'how fantastic.' Hope that helps at least a little.
Betsy, I do believe that you are a keeper. Thanks for the words of grace and encouragement, with not even the tiniest hint of condescension. Big smile to you today!
